We have heard with profound sadness the news of the demise of sister mary Ali this morning:
Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun
May her soul rest in peace and may Allah swt rewards her and her husband Amir Ali highest station in Jannat ul-Firdous and may He swt make their valuable contribution to Islamic knowldge and community service a sadaqa-i-Jariyah for ever.
Mary Ali and her illustrious husband Ameer Ali , were our lifelong friends, and have been, and would continue to remain an inspiation for our life and works. This was a unique couple who had a vision to enlighten each American household with the true knowledge of Islam, they both devoted their career and lives for their mission sacrficing better opportunities of life and preferred to lead to lead very austere and spartan life. They both dedicated their money, time, and expertise for the task of Da’wa till they breathed their last. They offer for us an example in their life as well in their death. They showed us that Islamic work does not need as much material wealth as the purity of the heart, integrity of the character, sincerity of intention and motivation to do the Will of Allah swt..
As we share this loss we must at the same time make a committment that we shall support with renewed vigor their dreams and aspiarations instituted in The Institute of Islamic Education and make it fulfill the mission it was established for. We extend hearfelt condolances to the family of Mary Ali and her extended family of admirers, and assure on behalf of myself, Tasneema Ghazi and IQRA’ International any spport that is needed to keep the torch of their vision alive and burning, spreading illumination of Islamic knowledge wordwide. InshaAllah.
